# Connect Google Ads

> Authorize Google Ads so new lead-form leads flow into Autocampaign AI as contacts.

## Overview

Connecting Google Ads lets Autocampaign AI watch your account for new lead-form leads and
add them to your contacts automatically. You connect by signing in with Google —
there's no developer token or [API key](/getting-started/glossary#api-key) (a
password that lets another program use your account) to enter.

## Connect Google Ads

<Steps>
  <Step title="Start the connection">
    Go to **Advertising → Google Ads** and click **Connect Google Ads** (or start
    from **Connected Accounts → Connect**).

  <Step title="Sign in with Google">
    Click **Continue with Google**. You'll be sent to Google to sign in and grant
    access to view your ad campaigns and leads. Autocampaign AI never changes your ads or
    spends your budget.

  <Step title="Choose an ad account">
    Back in Autocampaign AI, pick which **ad account** should send you leads.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review campaigns and finish">
    You'll see your campaigns (leads from all of them are captured). Click through
    to **Done**.

## After connecting

* New lead-form leads appear in **Contacts** within about a minute, with source
  **Google Ads**.
* Build a welcome [workflow](/automation/workflow-builder) triggered by **New
  advertising lead** to text each lead instantly.
* Track results on **Campaign Performance** and [Ad attribution](/analytics/ad-attribution).

## Check the account status

* **Receiving leads** — connected and active.
* **Needs attention** — the connection broke; click **Reconnect**.

## FAQ

    No. You just sign in with Google. The technical details are handled by
    Autocampaign AI.

    list in the wizard is informational.

## Troubleshooting

    You declined a permission during Google sign-in. Try again and allow access.

    Start the connection again from **Advertising → Google Ads**.

    The Google login has no ad accounts, or you signed in with the wrong Google
    account. Reconnect with the account that owns your ads.

    Access expired or was revoked. Click **Reconnect** to restore lead flow.
