# Availability

> Set the weekly hours and date overrides when you can be booked.

## Overview

[Availability](/getting-started/glossary#availability) schedules define when
people can book you. Each [meeting type](/scheduling/meeting-types) (a kind of
appointment people can book) uses a schedule, so time slots only appear during
your bookable hours. Manage schedules under **Availability** (`/availability`).

## Set your weekly hours

    Choose an existing schedule (one is marked **Default**) or create a new one.

  <Step title="Set the timezone">
    Weekly hours are local times in the schedule's **timezone**.

  <Step title="Turn days on and set hours">
    Turn each day on/off. For each day that is on, set one or more time ranges (for
    example, 9:00–12:00 and 13:00–17:00). Use **Copy to…** to reuse a day's hours on
    others.

## Set different hours for specific dates

Add **overrides** for specific dates — mark a day **unavailable** (holidays) or set
custom hours just for those dates. Overrides take priority over your weekly hours.

## Use more than one schedule

Create several named schedules (for example, "Sales hours" and "Support hours") and
assign different ones to different meeting types. Meeting types using a deleted
schedule fall back to the default.

    "Check for conflicts" so busy times remove slots automatically.

## Troubleshooting

    Fix the day's ranges so they don't overlap and each end time is after its start.

    Confirm the schedule has days turned on with hours set, the timezone is correct,
    and no override marks the date unavailable.
