Overview
Roles decide what each member can see and do. Autocampaign AI comes with five built-in roles and lets you create custom ones. Manage roles at Settings → Roles (/settings/roles) and assign them on
Settings → Users.

Built-in roles
Built-in roles can’t be edited or deleted.
Assign a role
1
Open Users → Members
Go to Settings → Users and find the member.
2
Change role
Click Change role, pick a role, and save.
The Owner role can’t be assigned to others in the app.
Create a custom role
1
Open Roles
Go to Settings → Roles and click Create.
2
Name it and set permissions
Give the role a name and description. Then use the permission matrix
(a grid of checkboxes) to choose whether the role can create, read, update, or
delete items in each area. Areas include contacts, campaigns, inbox, channels,
billing, and more.
3
Save and assign
Save the role, then assign it to members from Users.
How permissions work
Permissions are grouped by area (for example, Contacts, Campaigns, Segments, Inbox, Channels, Billing, Analytics, API keys, Webhooks). Most offer the standard create / read / update / delete actions, plus a few special ones (like send or pause a campaign, reply or assign in the inbox). The screens you see adapt to your permissions — actions you can’t perform are hidden or greyed out.FAQ
