Overview

Every new workspace starts on a card-free trial. When you are ready, choose a plan, and Autocampaign AI bills it monthly or yearly through a secure checkout page run by our payment provider. Manage all of it at Account → Plan & Billing in the sidebar (/billing). The page is titled Plan & subscription and has three tabs: Plans & subscription, Usage, and Invoices.
In short: 1) Your trial starts free — no card needed. 2) Choose a plan when ready and pay at checkout. 3) Change, cancel, or reactivate any time from Plan & Billing.
Time to complete: ~10 minutes  ·  Difficulty: Beginner  ·  By default, only Owners and Admins can view this page and change plans, buy add-ons, or cancel. Members without billing access don’t see the sidebar entry.

Before you start

  • Sign up from the pricing page if you can: its buttons open /signup?plan=…&billing=monthly|yearly, and the signup form shows Selected plan: … · free trial — no credit card needed. The same selection carries through Continue with Google and Continue with Microsoft.
  • Signing up without a plan in the link starts the trial on the default plan. Invited teammates join an existing workspace and don’t get their own trial.
  • Prices, limits, and included credits are shown in-app on each plan card and may change. See Credits & usage for how credits work.

Understand your trial

The trial starts automatically at signup — no card, nothing to charge. Your subscription shows the Trialing status, and the plan card lists Trial ends with the date.
  • The app header shows Trial · N days left, linking to Plan & Billing. It turns amber in the last 3 days and reads Trial ended — choose a plan once it’s over.
  • The plan card repeats the countdown with a Choose a plan button.
  • During the trial you have the selected plan’s limits and its included credits; track them on the Usage tab.
If the plan in your signup link is no longer offered, the trial starts on the default plan instead. If the trial couldn’t start at all, /billing shows the plan catalog (Choose the plan that fits your business) so you can pick one.

What happens when the trial ends

Nothing is charged. The billing page switches to Your trial has ended — “No card on file, so nothing was charged — and everything you built is still here” — above the plan catalog. Your data is kept, but the subscription is locked: outgoing sends are held back and anything your plan controls is blocked until you choose a plan.

Choose a plan

Pick monthly or yearly

Use the Monthly / Yearly toggle. Plans without a yearly price show Monthly billing only.

Choose plan

Compare features, Limits, and Includes … credits on each card, then click Choose plan. The button reads Redirecting… while the secure checkout page opens. Enter your card there.

Return to the app

You land back on Plan & Billing with a Payment received banner while your plan activates (“this page updates automatically in a few seconds”). If it takes longer, the page says so and keeps refreshing. Leaving checkout shows Checkout cancelled — nothing was charged.

Change your plan

1

Open the plan picker

On Plans & subscription, click Upgrade on your plan card. The Upgrade or change plan dialog shows every plan; cheaper ones are labeled Downgrade, pricier ones Upgrade.
2

Confirm

Upgrades apply straight away. On your next invoice you pay only for the part of the period you used the new plan (this is called prorating). You’ll see Plan updated — your new limits and credits apply now or, if the change is still being confirmed, Upgrade submitted. A new checkout only opens when a card is needed.
3

Review a downgrade

Downgrades open Downgrade to …?, listing Limits that will shrink, Features you will lose, and reduced Included credits. If you’re already over a new limit, existing items are kept but you can’t add more. Click Downgrade anyway or Keep current plan. Downgrades take effect immediately. Included credits are reduced in proportion to the time left in the period, and any price difference is credited on your next invoice.

Update your card and find invoices

  • Click Manage plan on the plan card to open the secure billing portal (a page run by our payment provider), where you update your card. Add-on purchases charge the saved card directly.
  • The Invoices tab lists Invoice history with billing period, amount, and status (PAID, OPEN, VOID, UNCOLLECTIBLE). Use View invoice or Download PDF. Invoices stay available after a subscription ends.

Read usage alerts

Alerts step up at 70%, 85%, and 100% of a limit:
  • Approaching plan limits — “You’re using most of your …” (70%) and “You’re getting close to your … limit” (85%).
  • Resource limit reached — “Your … are used up” (100%).
Each alert has Buy more and Upgrade plan buttons. Alerts for sending resources (SMS, Email, Voice minutes, AI credits, Storage) appear on every page. Alerts for count limits (contacts, tags, segments, and so on) appear only in the affected area and on the billing page. Only members with billing access see them. Dismissing an alert hides it for good; restore it with Show hidden usage alerts on the Usage tab. A Credits running low notification also reaches billing members, at most once per credit pool (one balance per type, such as SMS or email) per day.
A plan can set its own first warning point, in which case that replaces 70%. The 85% and 100% steps are fixed.

What happens when you run out of credits

When a credit pool hits zero, the Usage tab shows Out of credits — “sends on these channels will fail until you top up” — with a Buy credits button.
  • Campaigns and sequences: the run pauses on its own rather than failing. Message rows show Out of credits (or Payment overdue, Subscription inactive, Plan limit reached, Not included in plan). Top up, then click Resume; held messages send from where they stopped.
  • Direct actions (inbox replies, AI runs): the action is refused with Not enough credits — buy a credit pack to continue. Hitting a count limit shows Plan limit exceeded, and a feature outside your plan shows Your plan does not include this feature — upgrade to unlock it.
  • Overdue payment: status becomes Past due or Grace period (with the end date on the plan card). Sends are held back with Your payment is overdue — update your payment method to restore service.

Cancel or reactivate

1

Cancel

Click Cancel on the plan card, then Cancel subscription. Your plan stays active until the end of the current period; the card shows Cancels on with the date.
2

Change your mind

Click Reactivate any time before that date and the plan renews as usual.
After the period ends, the page shows Your subscription has ended — “your data is untouched” — with the plan catalog and your invoices.

The page shows Billing temporarily unavailable or Subscription unavailable with Retry. Nothing was changed — try again shortly.
Check the message rows’ failure reason. Buy credits, update your card, or fix the plan limit, then Resume the campaign.
